Strikeforce MMA fighter Nick Diaz completed in the Xterra Triathlon at Lake Las Vegas on May 2nd. Diaz has been participating in a number of triathlon’s over the years to stay in shape in between fights. Nick Diaz will be facing Scott Smith at Strikeforce: Lawler vs. Shields on June 6th. UFC lightweight contender Kenny Florian is currently training with UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at his Tristar Gym in Montreal, Canada. Kenny Florian will challenge UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn at UFC 101 in Philidelphia on August 8th. Georges St-Pierre retained his UFC title by dominating BJ Penn by 4th round TKO at UFC 94.

Florian is hoping that GSP can show him some tricks to beat Penn. Hopefully, nothing to do with greasing. Sorry I had to say it!

After losing the decision to Dan Henderson, Rich has some healing to do. He had to get stitches in two spots on his head from the head butt, and stitches on his shin from one of his kicks. Everyone has been asking about his eye- from the eye poke at the end of the fight- and we are happy to say he doesn’t need surgery. He does have a cut on the white part of his eye and a slight tear, but it doesn’t require surgery. Pictures have been posted so you can see what it looks like now.
